Find the Right Credential for Your Organization
IEEE offers two different types of credential verification for education and training providers and industry: certificates and skills-based microcredentials.
- Certificates prove successful completion of a learning course, and some offer PDH/CEU credits required for professional engineering licensure. Certificates are also available for conferences.
- Skills-based Microcredentials help learners demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities and validate learners’ mastery of these areas. Some skills-based microcredentials may stack into broader learning pathways, so learners can add on to or develop new skills over time.
Both IEEE professional certificates and microcredentials are digital so learners have a detailed record of their learning activity and can share them on social media, with employers, and others. Both also offer learners industry-backed skills and professional development opportunities.
